Projects
ADAPT NI has developed an exciting programme of events under the
umbrella name of “ADAPT INITIATIVE 2004”
- Art & Architecture - evolving as a outcome
of Artistic Borders. Delegates attending the former cross-border
conference events called for “Actions not Words” in
the provision of accessible infrastructure for Arts, Cultural
and Leisure facilities. This new initiative will focus on sustaining
the momentum for real change through facilitating stronger more
effective alliances between Architects and Disabled Arts Practitioners.
- ADAPTing for Access – Training to Train
- A comprehensive accredited training course which deals with
issues on equality and awareness, universal accessibility and
training for trainers.
- ACCESS 400 - ADAPT NI has researched access
facilities in over 400 venues throughout Northern Ireland. This
important access information is published in the Access 400 booklet
and is available online.
- Filmability - ADAPT NI promotes accessibility
and inclusion for disabled children and young people in film and
the film environment.
- ADAPTtoday Newsletter - A cross-border publication
distributed throughout Ireland to promote accessibility and provide
a point of contact on access issues.
