Building Equality and Inclusion Grants 2010/11

Many organisations that strive to improve accessibility have reported that they find it difficult to secure financial budgets and the practical advice needed to develop good practice in disability equality The launch of this latest awards programme by ADAPT is a response to these requests for practical support in building equality and inclusion. We will distribute incentive grants of up to £2000 depending on the ownership of the venue, quality of application and proposed work to be undertaken. Applications for small scale adaptations are encouraged but the minimum application considered will be for a total cost of £500 Our 2010-11 budget is limited and we anticipate the competition for funds to be high.
Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis and due to the level of funding available:
- it may not be possible to fund all applications which meet the criteria.
- to make awards for the total amount requested.
- We intend to give priority to those proposals which request support for projects that can be completed by March 2011.
An application can be submitted at any time to the Awards Panel who will meet in September, December and March. Please note that prior to presenting applications to the Panel there is a substantial workload to complete the initial assessment of all applications
